Through the Block

Entering Central Library from the skyway brings you onto the second floor of the lobby. Essentially a covered alley connecting Nicollet Mall to Hennepin Avenue it is a grand space full of conveyances to move people and books around and through the library building. In this photo we can see three staircases, three pedestrian bridges, two elevator cars and an escalator!
